~Learning with Computer~

Computer is important our life. We use it at the school, home and so on. We use computers during a class. Moreover, we use it to study at our home. I start learning about computer when I was an elementary school student. Computer is a part of my life.

First, Computer is so convenience. We use it when we want to write some reports or we want to send a mail and so on. It is natural for us to write some reports using computer. Moreover, we use it as a dictionary. And, we can download some music whenever we want to listen to music. If I want to know something, I can know the detail easily by computer. Anyway, computer is so convenience.

Second, I don't like use computer because it is difficult for me and it tires the eyes. But, it is very useful. We can practice of typing and learn about language using educational game. We use a Power Words like a language game. This is very interesting. We can learn a lot of language while we enjoy. Moreover, it is useful when it happen disaster. We can know the state of affairs.

Then, we can get a lot of information. When I want to know some information, I can know using computers. For example, when I want to know weather forecast, we can know this information easily. And when I want to know some news, I can know news easily. Moreover, I can know other thing related news which I want to know. But, there are much bad or wrong information in the Internet. So, we have to make sure of the facts.

Lastly, it has some connections. Moreover, when I want to contact, I can contact using chat or web sites such as mixi and Face book. I use these web sites. When I have free time, I often see these web sites. I can know recent conditions of my friends. And we can send a mail to all over the world. In August, I went to New Zealand. And then, I like my host family. So, I want to keep in touch with my host family. And we exchange each mail address. Now, we keep in touch each other. We can connect many people all over the world using computer.

Computer is indispensable in our life. I have my computer. It is important for me. Computer is used a lot of places such as company, school and so on. It is natural for us to use computer. I want to handle computer. And I want to enjoy my life with computer.

Big Straw Rice Bag!! ~ Secret of Kumamoto~

I introduce about "Ohdawara Festival" in Tamana. Ohdawara means big straw rice bag. This is a very historical event in Tamana. Reason why I choose this event, I want to tell this event more.

This is a type of festival that is not well-known in Kumamoto. This festival is annual autumn festival. It started from 1997. People roll or pull a big straw rice bag. It is so heavy. Big straw rice used this event weighs about 800 kilogram. And it has a diameter of about 2.5 meters. It is 4 meters wide. While people pull big straw rice bag, they run 80 meters. But, it is funny event. They compete with other group, which is faster. One group has 14 people. When they do this event, they put on special uniform. This festival is regardless age or sex.

When I was a high school student, I went to Tamana high school. In my high school, we rolled a big straw at school festival. It is so funny. When we do this event in our school, we use small straw rice bag. And when I was a high school student, I take part in this event. And our group is only girls. But, we got a prize. I think I could a valuable experience.

There are some festivals and events in Tamana. For example, there is a festival called "Sho-bu Festival" in June. Sho-bu is a sweet flag. We can see a lot of beautiful flowers at riverside. Moreover, there is a displayed of fireworks on a summer evening in August. Fireworks are display about 1000 in there. It is very beautiful and powerful.

There are many events and famous things in Tamana. We can enjoy all year round. So, I like Tamana. Please come on and look this event! Let’s pull a big straw rice bag!

My club:)

My club’s name is KGB. It means Kumamoto Gakuen Broadcasting. I belong to this club for 2 years. It is no exaggeration to say that my club is the same as my university life. I have a good time with my club’s member every time.

My club has a meeting at 4:20 p.m. everyday. The head of club tells some notice. After that we play some games, talk with friend and so on. We can see other club's member everyday in our club's room. I thought I don’t want to go meeting many times, because our club’s room is on the top floor. We have to go up a flight of stairs on my own.

It is important for our club to have good manners. For example, when we drink, we have some rules. When we pour liquor into the glass, we shouldn’t touch glass. And when we do a toast, we should touch my glass under older people’s glass. Moreover, it is important for us to greet. My club is strict about manner. I think it is important for us to pay careful attention to our surroundings.

My club has about 50 people. And there are 8 officials. For example, the head of club, the second head of club, treasurer, a public relations man, the head of announcement section, the head of production section, secretariat and special member of club. These members are decided by elect. They are so funny and have a responsibility. So, I think they are reliable.

And my club has a lot of events. For example, we go to see flower viewing, Okinawa and Hitoyoshi. We go to Hitoyoshi in spring. And we did a test of ours courage. We lodge together twice a year. And we have some events peculiar our club. In May, we make a radio drama and a film. These works are watched in large room. We interchange of broadcasting club of other school at that time. Each club brings a work, and we watched these works all the member. Other work is high quality. In October, we have a big event. It calls “Shityu Parade”. We parade in the downtown area. We carry a portable shrine shaped white bear and we put on special clothes. We prepare for this event from summer vacation to the previous day. And we got a prize cloth section. I was impressive. And we do the real state of an athletic meet. Moreover, we make a film like a video letter for junior in school festival. We film and edit on our own. In December, we did DJ meet. We make a radio program. It is funny.

Our club's member is so kind, relative and cooperative. I like my club because my club is like a family. It is very warm. My club is my place to call my own. I thought that I wanted quit many times. But, I like this club. And when I am in trouble, other club members help me. I am happy. We get along well.　I think I want continue.

I saw this movie for the first time. Characters are Daniel, Miranda who is his wife, and three children. Three children like his father, Daniel. Daniel loves his family. He really loves his children. But, he doesn't share housework with his wife. So, he is bad husband to his wife. For the life for him, he wants to live with his children. So, he is disguised in woman’s clothes to see his children. He has good and miracle voice.

I like Mrs. Doubtfire. She is very funny. And she really thinks of his children. For example, she decided a time to do homework for children. She made many mistakes at first. But, she did housework and took care of children as hard as he could. She can draw Miranda and children's good point. She can heard Miranda’s troubles.

I think this movie's theme is bond, because they are deeply in love with each other. I could see the ties that bind parent and child together. Daniel really thinks of children. In this movie, he said “Children are my life.” When I saw this scene, I was impressed. I want a father like a Daniel. And he made children clean the room to do homework.

And I think this movie’s theme is acting, too. He has many voices. So, he could get a job as an emcee. And he could see his children as a housekeeper. The day of a retrial, Daniel said last message. But, the presiding judge said he can act, so his message is also lie. He is wonderful actor. Thanks to his act, his massage is not believed. But, his family believes him.

This story show real family’s bond. I thought this story is practical. It is good point that this story doesn’t be perfect everything. I like this movie. I want to see this movie again.

My favorite place: Beautiful!!!

My favorite place is beach in Okinawa. I go to Okinawa once a year with my club’s member. Okinawa has a lot of good place and foods. And there are many cultural heritages. Okinawa is unique place. So, many tourists visit there during a year. I like Okinawa very much, because I am fascinated by an atmosphere of Okinawa. And I like to visit a beach in Okinawa.

The reason why I select this place is that I become composed when I see the beach. The sea in Okinawa is different from other seas. The tang of sea air is good. The color of sea is clear blue and emerald green. And there are many beautiful shells on the beach. Shell of Okinawa is very uncommon. When I saw a beautiful view for the first time, I was impressed. In the sea, there are many cute fishes such as kakurekumanomi and tropical fish. There are also many sea urchins. So, when we swim the sea, we should put on sandals. And we can enjoy banana boat there. Banana boat is so fast. When I rode a banana boat, I dripped wet. But it was so fun! Okinawa is very hot place in summer. But, when we swim in the sea, we can feel comfortable.

I will introduce another good point in Okinawa. Okinawa is very holiness place. There are sure at least two Sisas on the roof of each house. And there are places which is holiness. For example, Kudakazima is very holiness place. And Syurizyo is very famous place in Okinawa. There are four gates there. Each gate have name. We can enter in Syuruzyo and see a lot of things. On the other hands, Okinawa has a lot of military bases of America and places which is related to war. We can see a lot of things which is related to war.

Then, Okinawa has many delicious and uncommon foods such as mimiga, chanpulu, tinsukou and so on. Pineapple is one of the famous foods in Okinawa. We can eat many pineapples and drink wine made of pineapple in Pineapple Park in Nago. And I like umibudou. Umibudou is seaweed. The reason why umibudou called this name is that this look likes a grape.

And Okinawa is very tranquil place, too. People in Okinawa are so kind. When I visited Okinawa, I forgot a time. So I could relax there. And smile of people in Okinawa are very good. I like their smile. Road of Okinawa is straight. I like to drive on the road in Okinawa.

There are many good points in Okinawa. The sea in Okinawa is especially good place in Okinawa!! I want to settle down in Okinawa someday. Okinawa is very good place. And Beach in Okinawa is also good. You should go to Okinawa at once!!

essay 1-05: Personal language learning history

'll show you my language learning history. Languages are very important. There are many languages in the world. And I met four languages in my life. For example, it is Japanese, English, German, and Chinese. I mainly use Japanese. But, I mainly study English now. Japanese and English are very important for my life.

First, it is about Japanese, my mother tongue. When I was a child, my parents read to me a lot of picture books every night. So, I could know a lot of Japanese words. And my mother taught me my name's kanji. So, I could write my name in kanji. My mother strictly taught my name in hiragana. I hate practicing hiragana, but I think this time is important for me. When I was a child attending kindergarten, I learned all hiragana and katakana. So, I could read some books and various words by myself. Thanks to my mother, I like to read book. I read a lot of books, so I became increasing my Japanese vocabulary. And thanks to read a lot of books, I was good at Japanese.

Second, when I was a elementary school student, I have taken private lessons in English. I learned English then for the first time. And I was interested in English. When I was a junior high school student, I had a dream. I thought I want to go abroad, and I want to be a cabin attendant. This dream is still not change. And when I was a high school student, I met an English teacher. He gave me some advice when I was in trouble. I had a dream, but I didn't have any confidence in my English. But, he taught me how to study English. For example, how to memorize English words, how to read English sentence, and so on. I thought I owe what I am to him. And, I thought that I need more skill up of English. And now, I go to KGU. And I mainly English there. My friends' English is very good. I respect them. And I attend English conversation class. once a week My speaking is poor. I want to speak fluently.

My purpose of learning languages is two things. First, it is for getting some licenses. For example, it is Eiken, TOEIC, TOEFL, and so on. Licenses are important for get a job. Second, it is for coming true my dream. As mentioned above, I want to be a cabin attendant. And I want to work at foreign country in the future. So, I have to learn a lot of languages for my dream.

And, I will go to New Zealand in this summer. I have never gone abroad. So, this is my first trip abroad. I want to learn New Zealand's cultures, foods, hobbits, and so on. I want to skill up of English, and to have confidence my English. A proverb says "Seeing is believing". I want to feel an atmosphere of foreign country.

Learning language is very important. Because, we can understand each other. Japanese is my mother tongue and I always use Japanese. We should learn Japanese more, because we are Japanese! We should use correct Japanese. English is important in modern society and a common language in the world. I want to learn English and Japanese more. And I come true my dream.

Essay 1-04: My favorite amusement park

I'll talk about my recommending amusement park, Mitui Greenland. Amusement park is very delightful place. I like to go amusement park. There are a lot of amusement parks in Japan. But, most of Kumamoto prefectural people maybe go to Greenland at least once. I often go Greenland, too. And I love Greenland!

Greenland is Arao city in Kumamoto. There are about 90 attractions there. And Greenland has a hotel and a golf course. This amusement park's motto is that everyone can delightful regardless of age or sex. So, we are not bored all day. And it is funny day of course, if it rains, we can play there. In Greenland, we bought some coupon ticket or free pass. If we buy free pass, we can enjoy all attractions. So, the person who plays all day should buy free pass.

There a lot of attractions there. But, "Gaooo!!" is the most popular all of attractions. This is a scream attraction, and it is shape of dinosaur. We can feel our heart rise for moment when it nosedives. Comparatively, "Gaooo!!" is easy to ride anyone. And, "NIO" is as popular as "Gaooo!!” This attraction spins around in a complete circle. So, we can see the Sun when we ride it. In the west part, there is a "Dragon valley". Dragon valley's main attraction is "Dragon River". This is water attraction. It is very fun, but we get wet sometimes. And there is a big Ferris wheel in the center of the park. This is symbolic attraction. This is 100 meters across, and 105 meters high. It has some transparent gondolas. It is very frightening. And it has barrier-free gondolas. We can look very beautiful view when we ride it. And when it is getting dark, Ferris wheel is illuminated. It is very beautiful.

And Greenland has a lot of events. For example, a pool is open in summer. A skating rink is open in winter. And, Fireworks display is held the last day of the year and summer vacation. It is displayed about 1000 fireworks. It is very beautiful, and makes us happy. And Hero's show is held for children. For example, Kamen rider show and Ultraman show. This is a powerful show. Children can photo with heroes. And comedians show is held there, too.

Greenland has a lot of attractions, events, shops and so on. We can enjoy all day there. I have gone to Greenland with my family and friends many times. I enjoyed playing every time. So, I like Greenland! Exciting and fantastic attractions are waiting for you!! If you have never gone to there, you should really go.

My university life is Great!!!

I go to KGU every day. My university life is a full and happy. But, I sometime have busy day. I am the department of English. I mainly study English, and I must do a lot of homework. And club activity is very fun. I enjoy club's activity. I have two part-time jobs after school. I spend busy days. I have to do a lot of things every day.

I go to KGU every day by train. I will get up early before 1 hour when I go to school. It is very hard. And, the train is jammed full. I am uncomfortable every morning. I am the department of English. I study English and other class. And, I have a lot of friends there. We must do a lot of homework. It is very hard, too. But, we enjoy doing homework, because we do it together. And we give mutual help to each other. I love my friends who are English department. My friends are very kind and interesting. And, they are nice character. When I talk with my friends, I am happy and become composed. And I respect my friends, because their English is very excellent.

I belong to club. The club is broadcasting club. Club meeting is every day. So, I can see club's member every day. We filmed original drama last week. I was the leading part in the drama. And we will make "radio drama". "Radio drama" means performing a drama only our voice. And we sometime go for a drive, and eat for dinner together. Club's friends are very amusing. My club is like a family. So, I consult with my friends about various things. We will make a lot of memories together. I love my club.

I have two part-time jobs. I work at a bar and a caterer's shop. The caterer's shop do food delivery service. This shop is near my house. The shop's staffs are very kind. When I work there, I sometime make a mistake. But, staffs help me then. I can learn various things there. I can know the society. And I want to save money for my future. Anyway, please come to eat to my store once.

My university life is very busy. But I enjoy every day, because I have a lot of good friends, interesting classes and our club activities. Daily life is irreplaceable for me. I think I am supported by my friends. I cannot dream of my life without friends. I want to spend a full life more after this with my friends.

Shrek

Shrek is a green ogre who lives alone in the forest and lives a dirty life. He eats strange foods. The people of a country come in Shrek’s swamp because they want to go out of the forest. Donkey is a very talkativeness. And he speaks so fast. Shrek thought he is bother. But, Donkey likes Shrek. Princess Fiona is a very beautiful woman. And she is rescue by Shrek who asked Load Fookward. The character of many fairy tales are arrested by soldier. Lord Fookward is very small. He wants to be a king. He is not good person. Pink Dragon is female and confined Princess Fiona in a castle.

A green ogre called Shrek lives in a forest. His swamp occupied many fairy tale creatures, because Lord Fookward sent them packing. Shrek wants to get back his swamp. So, Shrek go to Dragon's castle to rescue Perimcess Fiona, because Fookward wants to become the King. Fookward is not good person. And he is scheming. Shrek and Donkey go on a quest. There is a castle of Dragon. Princess Fiona is caught by her. Pink Dragon cought a Donkey, but he praised her. Pink Dragon fall in love with Donkey. And Shrek rescues her and Donkey. They are safety. On the way to come back in Lord Fookward’s castle, Shrek and Fiona fall in love to each other. But she has a secret. When sun goes down, she change to green ogre! She can’t speak to Shrek this secret. But she speak to Donkey her secret. The time, Shrek misunderstands about Fiona’s words. He thought Fiona dislikes me. Fiona is taken by Fookward and their wedding is held. Shrek and donkey go to a marriage ceremony quickly. Shrek say to Fiona, “I love you”, at last. Fiona show her really appearance to all people. Fiona would be a beautiful princess but she remains an green ogre. Her figure doesn't change. Fookward change his attitude completely. And Shrek and Princess Fiona are cought by Fookward. At that time Pink Dragon and Donkey come to rescue them. Then, Shrek and Fiona marry. A lot of fairy tales and Donkey celebrate their marrige.

Theme of "Shrek" is friendship, love and bravely. Donkey understand Shrek's personality. I thoght they are good friends.



To tell the truth, Shrek is kind ogre and he thouht he wants to understand myself to eneryone.I’ve not watched this movie to the end. Watching to the end, I thought Shrek is awkward and pure. And I thought we shouldn't judge I like falling in love scenes. I thought I want to fall in love, and I want to make good friends!

Hello! My name is Yuka. Please call me Yuka. I'm 19 years old. I go to KGU. I am the department of English, and I study mainly English. And I belong to club called KGB. This means "Kumamoto Gakuen Broadcasting". I love this club. And I enjoy various things with club's member.

And, I have a lot of friends. My friends are very kind, interesting and so on. I like my friends. When I was in trouble, they help me. My friend's smile makes me happy.

I like to play tennis. Do you know this sport? I belonged to a tennis club for six years. Tennis is a outdoor sports. So, my friends and I got sunburned. And I like to watch baseball. I like high school baseball which call "Koushien" very much. I also like to play it, but I'm not good at playing it. We are family of four, and all my family likes baseball, too. Do you like baseball? Let's play baseball together! I like to play the piano, too. I learned to play the piano for ten years. I took part in some piano recitals, and I accompanied a chorus contest on the piano. I often go shopping on weekend. Shall we go together?

When I was a high school student, I selected the department in order to be a flight attendant. I thought I wanted to go abroad when I was a junior high school student. So, I want to go abroad. In fact, I will go to New Zealand on August.
