BR 2-08: The Shoemaker and the Elves

I’ll talk about this book.
Reason why I choose this book, I thought this illustration is so cute. So, I want to read this book.

There is an old shoe shop in town. It isn’t a very good shop. One day, shoemaker and wife get up. And there are very beautiful shoes on the table. And a lady buys it. They get some gold coins. Shoemaker could buy new leather. And he makes another shoe, but it is late. So, his wife says “you should make them in the morning”. Next day, there is very beautiful two pair of shoes on the table, again. And he got some gold coins again. It is magic. And then he makes three pairs of shoes. But it’s late, so he doesn’t make shoes. He goes to bed. Next morning, there are three pairs of shoes on the table. Who is making these shoes? They hide and see two little elves at midnight. And they make beautiful shoes. The shoemaker and wife watch their works. And the shoemaker thinks what can we do for them? So, they make some clothes for them. At midnight, little elves find a box. There are some clothes in the box. They put on these clothes and they are joy! But, they have to go another place; because of they are known their true character. The elves never come buck there. But, shoemaker works harder before. So, his shop is better than before.
I recommend this book. This story is very cute, and it is filled of dream. I want to read again.

BR 2-07: E-mails Home

I'll talk about this book.
Reason why I choose this book, I was interesting this title when I looked this book. So, I chose this book.
A little child received a new mail. Sender traveled all overt the world. At first, he went to Australia. He went to Sydney. He saw a Opera House. Next day, he went to China. he went to Great wall of China. It is 7200 kilo meter long. The wall is high, but some place has fallen down. And then he left China, and went to Kalahari Desert in Southern Africa. This place is dry and hot. It has big hill and hall. Next, he went to London. And he saw a Buckingham Palace there. Some guard man stand in front of the palace. They put on a red coats and black trousers.
I don't recommend this book. It was boring. But, I could know a lot of things in the world. I like top travel. So, I want to travel abroad. I want to go London!

BR 2-06: A Kiss For Little Bear

I'll talk about this book.

Reason why I choose this book, I thought illustration is so cute. And I have seen this book. So, I thought I want to read this book.

A Little bear draw a picture. He wanted to give it his grandmother. He asks Hen to carry it. Hen gives it Little bear's grandmother. She was very happy, so she asks Hen to kiss for Little bear. And Hen asks Frog to kiss for Little bear from grandmother. Then Frog asks Cat to kiss, and Cat ask skunk to kiss, and skunk meet another skunk. He kissed her, and she kissed him. At last, Hen find them, Hen kiss Little bear. And Skunks got marry!
I recommend this book. Because of this story is very cute. I like it. Little bear draw a strange picture, but his grandmother was glad. I want to see grandmother!

BR 2-05: The statue of Liberty

I'll talk about this book.

Reason why I choose this book, when I looked this title, I want to know what this story. And this illustration is beautiful.

The statue of Liberty has been standing in New York. People i n France gave it for people in United states. A man who is French made the statue. This statue's model is his mather. She is very beautiful. He made so big statue. Fingers were longer than man, and eyes were as big as a child. He could not make only himself. So, he made it with a lot of people. And they packed it in 214 crates when they carry it by ship. And then, on October 28,1886, parade held in New York.

There are a lot of things which I know for the first time. I have never seen the Statue of Liberty. And I didn't know about it well. But, I could know about the Statue of Liberty when I read this book. I want to see the real Statue of Liberty. So, I recommend this book.

August 19

I ate KIWI burger fir the first time. It was so good. But, I got lost today. We went to St. Lukes shopping mall. When we went back our home, we rode another bus. So, we went in the opposite direction. I had a dreadful experience. We rode a bus at 5:30 p.m. But, I went back home at 6:40 p.m. My home is very cloth to St.Lukes.
And I went to Muriwai beach and ganet colony today. It was a violent wave. And smell is bad because of sea bird’s droppings. But, it was beautiful view. Sand of beach is black, because of sand containing iron. And we could watch a little seal! It was so cute. And we drank a hot chocolate. It’s so sweet. We ate a ice cream. It was yummy!
At school, we had an interview with Miora. She is teacher. Her hobby is tramping. She explained how to tools of tramping. It is very interesting.
After school, I read to my host children the book in English. It’s Kiwi’s book. I was nervous. But when I finished reading, my host family praised. I want to speak well more!

Maron!

I read a newspaper. I found a news which is interested.
Maron may be one of the most popular stationmasters in Japan, even though he only has honorary status. Commuters often make special trips to meet him, but instead of shaking hands, he may lift a paw and bark.
The 8-years-old Yorkshire terrier is honorary stationmaster of Oku-Nakayama Kogen Station operated by Iwate Galaxy Railway Co., in Ichinohemachi, Iwate Prefecture. He even wears a replica of a real stationmaster’s uniform.
The dog belongs to Yoko Motoki, 65, who works at the station. “I’m happy to see the smiling faces of the commuters,” the proud owner said in reference to the people who make a fuss over Maron.
A typical day for Maron starts at 6:30 a.m., before the arrival of the first train. Besides welcoming the day’s first commuters at the ticket gates, Maron will strike a pose with the help of his owner’s hand and salute the train driver, as if to wish the driver a safe journey for the day.
He will instinctively bark to alert Motoki when he senses people are coming to the station. The canine stationmaster also considers it his duty to patrol the station and its surroundings. In November, 1999, before the launch of the semipublic railway, Motoki worked at JR Oku-Nakayama Station, the predecessor to Oku-Nakayama Kogen Station. She said she always wanted to be with Maron, even at work. Therefore, in the following year, she started bringing her pet to the station.

Coming-of-age celebration!

I went to Tamana yesterday. I took part in a meeting of alumni. I like my high school friends! So, I had a good time with them. I took many pictures. I met my teacher there after a long time. He said, “You are came up to my expectations.” I laughed.
I drank a lot of beer and clear distilled liquor. So, I got drunk! But, I had fun! I want to meet them every year!

And I took part in a meeting of alumni last week in Ueki. It is elementally school’s class. I was a secretary of an alumni association, because I met my elementally school teacher last summer. So, he directed to gather. And I work the meeting place now.
I will take part in a coming-of-age celebration next week. I’m looking forward to meeting my friends!

A Happy New Year☆

Hi! A Happy New Year!! Goodbye 2008!
I think 2008 is very good year. I lived a full life.
At first, I went to New Zealand in August. I visited a foreign country for the first time. New Zealand was winter in August, but Japan is summer. So, I was sick. But, I had a good time there. And I made a lot of special memories. I could an unforgettable experience in New Zealand with my friends. I could make many friends there. I love New Zealand! I want to go back there. I want to meet Sonya, Sunia, Jack and Riley!!
Then, I got a prize. I belong to Broadcasting club. And we made special cloth for parade. And we got a prize part of cloth! I was happy. I hang out with club’s friends many times. I like club and club’s member.
2008 is very good year for me! So, I want to study English more this year. Moreover, I want to save money for traveling abroad in 2009. I wish good year!!

August 18 in New Zealand

We went to city with Mana and Natsuki. We went to OK gift shop and so on. We bought some surveniors. We love shopping. And I bought a wallet. It cost 44000 yen. I bought it in duty free shop. So, I will have to receive at the counter of airport. After shopping, we ate sushi for lunch. It was so-so. But, rice is similar to Japanese one. And, we went to school. we used computer for reserch. I looked up god of Maori. I love Maori and Tiki. I bought many Tiki goods. So, I decided my topic is Tiki. And we will go to ganet colony tomorrow. I'm looking forward to going there.

Diary of NZ

August 16, 17

We went to Rotorua and Waitomo. Rotorua and Waitomo is quite a long way from Auckland. It took 4 or 5 hours. Rotorua and Waitomo is in the Southern Part from Auckland. We went to waitomo at first. We went to cave. It was so beautiful. There are many fireflies in the cave. It was blue. So beautiful. Next, we went to Rose land for lunch. And we watched shearing a rabbit. So cute. But, it looks poor. We watched Maori show at night. It was powerful. I sit in the front row, so I am nearest to Maori. I love god of Maori. It is Tiki. So cute. I ate pavuloba for the first time. It was too sweet. I did hongi with bus driver. Hongi is Maori's greeting. They kiss nose to nose.We watched sheep show. Sheep is so clever. But, sheep dog is cleverer than sheep. And lamb is very cute. I took many pictures. And we ride a gondora. we climb a mountain by gondora. And we ride a luge. It was so funny and fast! I ride it for the first time. I love luge. After ride, we ate lunch. And we went back Auckland. My host father and Jack, Riley came. So cute! Thank you.
